LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Lakewood are looking for the robbers responsible for breaking into a pharmacy and stealing prescription drugs overnight.

Authorities said an alarm went off at the Walgreens near the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Kipling Street at approximately 3:40 a.m. but when responding officers arrived the suspects had fled.

Employees at the store checked their inventory and found that numerous prescription drugs were missing from the inventory of the pharmacy.

Police worked with the store to get images of the crime from surveillance video. The suspects are seen in the video wearing bandanas and appear to be filling up duffel bags or suitcases with the drugs. Only two are seen in the images but there could have been more robbers in the store that aren’t seen in the images.

Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) pictured in the images. Anyone who feels they can assist detectives in their investigation is asked to call detective McGlynn, at 303-987-7244.
