More Communities Enact Fire Restrictions As Fire Danger Grows

DENVER (CBS4) - The high fire danger across much of Colorado has a growing number of counties and communities putting their fire bans in place.

Boulder County's fire ban went into effect at noon, along with Fremont County's and Canon City, and at 1 p.m. Clear Creek County and Gilpin County's bans went into effect.

They joined, Jefferson County and Douglas County, along with Lone Tree, Golden, Parker and Colorado Springs.

The bans restrict open burning.

Federal forest officials have the fire danger along Colorado's Front Range listed as high to very high.
