Pot Magazine Limit Done For Good In Colorado
DENVER (AP) - A Colorado attempt to treat marijuana magazines like pornography and put them behind the counter is done for good.
A federal judge agreed Tuesday to issue a permanent ban on the law, which would have taken pot magazines off newsstands in stores that allow shoppers under 21.
State lawyers agreed with magazines publisher and booksellers that the law was unconstitutional. It was a limit designed to reduce children's exposure to the newly legal drug.
The magazine ruling Tuesday doesn't affect the rest of Colorado's new pot laws, which regulate how the drug should be grown, sold and taxed.
