Canada To Deport Coloradan Accused Of Kidnapping Son

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — A Colorado man accused of attacking his estranged wife and kidnapping his three-year-old son has been ordered deported from Canada.

Canada's Immigration and Refugee Board ruled Friday that Monty Ray Turner should be deported because of the serious criminal charges.

Turner, 51, is suspected of breaking into his estranged wife's Colorado home last month, attacking her with a stun gun and pepper spray and kidnapping their son.

Turner and his son were discovered the next day at a motel in Brandon, Manitoba.

Turner's lawyer said at a hearing in Winnipeg, Manitoba, that her client wants to return to the U.S. as soon as possible to face the charges.
