Search In Canal Suspended After 911 Call
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters performed a search at a canal in Fort Collins after someone reported seeing a young boy pushed in by another child.
That boy was reportedly between 6 and 8 years old, according to the witness who called 911.
Officials were walking the banks of the canal along College Avenue towards Shields Street just after 4:30 p.m.
The water in that canal is normally swift-running but city crews were working to slow down the flow to aid in the search.
After 5 p.m. officials said they were calling off the search because they thought the incident was a false report.
