LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) — Police say a Colorado boy will be reunited with his mother on Tuesday after he was allegedly abducted and taken to Canada by his father.

Authorities expect 3-year-old Luke Turner to be returned to his mother, Brandy Turner, at Denver International Airport.

Fifty-one-year-old Monty Turner is accused of taking Luke on Saturday from the home the boy shares with his mother in Longmont. A court order prohibits Monty Turner from having any contact with his son or Brandy Turner, his estranged wife.

Authorities say the father attacked Brandy Turner with pepper spray and a stun gun before taking the boy. He was arrested Sunday in Manitoba with Luke, who was unharmed.

The father was jailed on suspicion of kidnapping, burglary and assault. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
