DENVER (AP) – The Colorado Rockies recalled right-handed pitcher Tyler Chatwood from Triple-A Colorado Springs and he’ll start against the San Francisco Giants on Saturday night.

To make room, the Rockies optioned right-hander Rob Scahill to Triple-A.

This is Chatwood’s second stint with the Rockies this season. He went 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts earlier this season for Colorado. Chatwood was 2-1 with a 3.14 ERA, five walks and 29 strikeouts in five starts for Colorado Springs.

Chatwood is 12-17 with a 4.86 career ERA in 48 appearances in the majors for the Angels (2011) and Rockies (2012-13).

Scahill has two scoreless appearances for the Rockies this season, allowing two hits in 5 1-3 innings.
