Kindergartners Get Free Wheels Thanks To Generous Donation

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- A big surprise for the students at Aurora's Sable Elementary after a delivery truck dropped off dozens of bicycles.

The organization "Wish for Wheels" and Panera Bread teamed up to give every kindergartner a brand new bicycle.

Sable Elementary Principal Jen Dichter said it's a great way to promote fitness, health and more, "It's so much more for kids. It's about feeling empowered and feeling like they have something to call their own."

The children also received a free bike helmet.

Wish for Wheels is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to give away bikes every year.
