DENVER (CBS4)– Since Gov. John Hickenlooper signed the Colorado Civil Union Act into law there have been more than 250 civil union licenses issued.

In the first two weeks since the law was enacted Denver’s Marriage License/Civil Union License counter has issued 255 civil union licenses, with 114 issued during the May 1 midnight civil unions event.

During the same two-week period Denver issued 245 marriage licenses.
