Police Search For Suspect Who Robbed Bank In Nederland

NEDERLAND, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities would like the public's help identifying and locating a man who robbed a bank in Nederland.

Chief Jake Adler with the Nederland Police Department said the suspect the Mutual of Omaha Bank just after 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday and demanded money in a written note.

"The suspect produced a written note, advising that he was there to 'rob' the bank and demanded money," Adler said in a statement.

The suspect was described as a white man, approximately 20 to 30 years old, wearing a tan colored "knit" style cap, dark colored backpack, orange or yellow colored "goggles" or glasses, dark colored shorts and was clean shaven. The suspect was also seen wearing a red colored scarf around his neck.

The suspect fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Nederland police in partnership with the Boulder County Sheriff and the FBI are currently investigating.
