TCAM Exam Results Don't Please State Department Of Education

DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Department of Education says it's not happy with the latest test results. It released third grade reading scores Tuesday from the TCAM exam.

According to the results, 73 percent of students met or exceeded state standards. That's down a point from last year. But it also means more than one out of four students did not pass.

The head of assessment for the Department of Education says she is hopeful a new state law taking effect next year will improve reading scores.
