Wildlife Officers Don't Plan To Remove Tire From Elk's Neck
MORRISON, Colo. (CBS4) - There was an unusual sight Wednesday in Morrison that grabbed a lot of attention and concern.
YouReporter Mark Daigneault sent in pictures of an elk with a tire around its neck. Wildlife officers said there are no plans right now to tranquilize the animal to remove the tire as long as it appears to be able to move and eat.
The elk might also be pregnant and tranquilizing her could damage the calf.
Officers hope the tire will come off on its own.
