Tough Water Restrictions Continue Despite Fresh Snow

DENVER (CBS4)- Tough watering restrictions will remain in place this summer for Denver Water customers despite this week's snowstorms.

Denver Water said although this snow is great for Colorado's soil and snowpack it's not enough to get us out of the Stage 2 drought restrictions.

The mountains would need another four feet of snow to reach an average snowpack that would get the state out of severe drought conditions.

Denver Water customers will be limited to watering two days a week. Several other communities along the Front Range have also instituted watering restrictions including Fort Collins and Aurora.
