High-Powered Executive Making Her Mark By Supporting Nonprofit

CBS4 and the Denver Business Journal are teaming up to profile companies that are "Making Their Mark" in Colorado communities.

DENVER (CBS4) - Jami Coulter's clients are with PricewaterhouseCoopers where she is senior manager. She making her mark with the Fortune 500 Company and preparing the next generation.

"One of my focuses is mentoring and coaching my younger staff. So that is a huge focus of mine and I think their response to that in their catching my passion for our private company practice and serving our clients to me is a testament to them sort of catching the fevers, so to speak, or drinking the Kool-Aid, if you will," Coulter said.

Setting an example of helping others doesn't stop with her staff. It also involves her community, her childhood and her children.

"I grew up in Colorado, I'm a native of Colorado, grew up on a farm. Growing up on a farm meant that I was working hard all the time. So that is a big part of what has created the fabric of my life and sort of instilling early in me those values of working hard and earning what you get and proud of what you've accomplished,"

Growing up Coulter spent several summers going to Mexico on mission trips where she witnessed poverty. That's why she's passionate about Clothes to Kids of Denver.

"Clothes to Kids of Denver is a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing clothing to under-privileged kids in the Denver Public School system."

She says part of making her mark is making sure her kids learn about making theirs.

"If they can see that I'm involved and they can be a part of as well through witnessing that involvement."
