Boys & Girls Clubs Celebrates National Clubs Week
DENVER (CBS4) - It's a big week for CBS4's partner the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.
The clubs have been hosting events to get kids involved in the community as part of National Boys & Girls Clubs of America Week.
Members here have been taking yoga and zumba classes as well playing soccer and gardening. It's all part of the theme health and wellness.
"We did a survey a couple years ago and our community actually (told us) that one of the greatest needs is a focus on health and wellness," clubs spokeswoman Tristan Connette said.
Organizers say the nationwide initiative is about building character.
