Denver Police Investigate Burn Injuries To Child

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver are investigating an incident involving a child with severe burns.

Police were called about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday to Denver's Best Inn & Suites motel at 4590 Quebec Street on a report of a child with burns.

The victim is a 4-year-old boy. He was found to be suffering from severe burns and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was subsequently flown to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.

The child has not been identified. Police have not stated how the child received the burns.

Police have not announced whether anyone will be facing criminal child abuse charges in the investigation.
