Man Charged With Eluding Police Officer
DENVER (CBS4)- Denver's district attorney has formally charged a man with eluding a police officer and other charges.
Reginald Wray has been charged with vehicular eluding, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, obstructing a peace officer and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
The charges allege that Wray, 35, failed to stop for a DUI traffic officer around 2 a.m. on April 1.
A short time later he allegedly crashed his vehicle into two parked cars and then ran away.
Police believe he was in possession of illegal drugs and a loaded handgun at the time.
Wray remains in custody. His bond has been set at $50,000. He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Friday to be advised of the charges.
