DENVER (CBS4)– Police said a driver who was in the turning lane but went straight caused a crash that left the other driver in critical condition.

It happened at the intersection of Lincoln and Speer just before 6 p.m. Sunday.

Officers said the driver in the left turn lane on Lincoln drove straight through the intersection and slammed into another car in the double turn lane.

The crash pushed her Saturn sedan into a light pole. She was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the other suffered minor injuries and was cited in the crash.
