Denver Post Office To Hire 100+ Letter Carrier Assistants

DENVER (CBS4)- The U.S. Postal Service is hiring letter carrier assistants.

The approximately 100 city carrier assistants will deliver mail throughout the City of Denver.

The non-carrier positions pay $15 an hour and are initially appointed for a 360-day status.

There are limited benefits associated with the positions. City carrier associates can accumulate vacation days. They will also have the opportunity to participate in Federal Employee Health Benefit Plan after the first 360-day appointment.

These positions also have the possibility of future employment as a career employee.

Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Saturday. The number of hours worked will vary.

Interested parties must apply for these and other positions online at the Postal Service's website.

All applicants must be at least age 18 at the time of hire and be a U.S. citizen or have permanent alien status. Carrier positions require a valid driver's license and a minimum of two years documented driving experience.

The application deadline for many cities closes March 22.
