Bill Would Restrict Use Of Tanning Beds For Teens In Colorado
DENVER (CBS4) - A bill restricting the use of tanning beds for teenagers in Colorado went up for its first vote.
A House committee heard testimony on the bill Tuesday afternoon.
The proposal would prohibit children under the age of 15 from using tanning beds unless they have a doctor's prescription. Teens between 15 and 18 would require permission from their parents or a doctor's prescription.
Right now Colorado is one of just a few states that isn't currently limiting tanning bed use.
