DENVER (CBS4) – Last week Denver Parks and Recreation and Denver Public Schools closed their athletic fields for the month of March because of concerns about the drought.

On Monday CBS4 asked both groups if Sunday’s snow and the forecast for more would change that. Right now Parks and Rec says the decision stands but they will monitor snowfall to see if the fields get enough moisture to withstand the damage from typical use.

Denver Public Schools said they haven’t made a decision after the recent storm but will soon.
