Moment Of Silence Set For X Games Snowmobile Rider

DENVER (AP) — The family of X Games snowmobile rider Caleb Moore is holding a private service for the 25-year-old who died after a crash at the games in Aspen.

Family spokeswoman Chelsea Lawson says Moore's family invited the public to observe a moment of silence, prayer and remembrance at 5:30 p.m. CST Thursday.

She didn't give a date for the funeral.

Moore was from Krum, Texas.

He attempted a backflip on Jan. 24 when the skis on his snowmobile caught the lip of the landing area, sending him over the handlebars. Moore landed face-first in the snow and his snowmobile rolled over him.

Moore walked away with help but was hospitalized for a concussion. He developed bleeding around his heart and later suffered a complication involving his brain.

He died Jan. 31.
