DENVER (CBS4)– If the chicken or steak burrito isn’t for you, Chipotle is working on a vegetarian option.

The Denver-based restaurant chain is testing what they call “sofritas” at its San Francisco locations.

The ingredient is described as shredded tofu braised with chipotle and roasted poblano chiles.

The company tested another vegetarian item a few years ago. It was called the “garden blend” but the restaurant said it was never satisfied with the product so it wasn’t offered in all locations.
