Art Thief Rips Canvases Off Wall In Loveland

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - Someone has stolen part of a public art display in downtown Loveland.

The display is on a wall of a building and it contains several canvases, each of which is worth about $1,000.

Two of the canvases were ripped off the wall -- one is a painting of an octopus by artist Nicole Cutler and the other is depiction of Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night" by artist Angela Canada-Hopkins. They were both about 3 feet wide and 4 feet tall.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Loveland police at (970) 667-2151.
