Suspect Wanted In Lakewood Townhome Arsons Arrested

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- A man believed to be responsible for a fire involving three townhomes in Lakewood has been arrested.

Robert Carlton Lohman has been charged with multiple counts of arson and reckless endangerment.

The fire started at 2:05 a.m. Feb. 15 at the Second Villa West Townhomes located at 8378 West Virginia in Lakewood.

The fire started on the rear patio of the Lohman residence and spread to other townhomes and storage buildings.

The fire was ignited while the suspect's family and other occupants were sleeping. Everyone inside and all their pets escaped unharmed.

Damage estimates exceed $120,000.

West Metro Fire Rescue and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation with "Sadie" an Accelerant Detection Canine worked together to gather evidence to arrest Lohman, 41.
