DENVER (CBS4)– Denver Public Schools are getting a $4 million boost thanks to a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The grant is aimed at improving cooperation between districts and charter schools.

DPS will receive the money over the next three and a half years.

The grant will pay for programs to help principals and teachers better share ideas from different schools.

Denver is one of seven districts nationwide receiving the grants.
