Woman Reports Attempted Abduction In Greeley

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- A Greeley woman told police that she was the victim of an attempted abduction in a parking lot.

It happened at about 5:18 p.m. Wednesday as the 19-year-old woman was leaving the Greeley-Evans Alternative Program building, 1113 10th Ave. in Greeley.

She was walking to the Safeway store located in the same block when she crossed the parking lot and was approached by a man. The woman said the man spoke to her in Spanish and when she answered him he grabbed her by an arm and tried to pull her into a car.

The woman pulled away from him and ran to the Safeway store.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man, 30 to 40 years old, 5-foot-seven, about 180 pounds. He was wearing a light blue ball cap turned backward, a green jacket and blue jeans. The man was seen getting into a brown, newer model Honda Accord or Toyota Camry style vehicle before leaving the area.
