DENVER (CBS4)- The NFL has taken note of Denver Broncos Linebacker Von Miller. He's been named the AFC Defensive Player of the month for November.

Miller helped lead Denver to a 4-0 record in November while totaling 20 tackles (18 solo), eight sacks (54 yards), 10 tackles for a loss and three forced fumbles.

His eight sacks and 10 tackles for a loss led all AFC players during the month while his three forced fumbles tied for the conference lead. Additionally, he was the only player in the NFL to post at least one sack in all four weeks in November.

He was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against San Diego (Nov. 18) in which he totaled six tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles in Denver's 30-23 win. His three sacks tied a career high and his two forced fumbles represented a personal best.

This marks the first career conference Player of the Month award for the second-year player, who is tied for the NFL lead with 24 tackles for a loss and ranks third in the league with 13 sacks. Miller is the seventh Bronco to receive the designation (eighth overall award) and the first since cornerback Champ Bailey was honored in October 2006.

The award also represents the second conference Player of the Month honor for a Bronco this season, as quarterback Peyton Manning was the recipient of the offensive award in October.
