Arvada Police Search For Alleged Arsonist

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Arvada are searching for a man they believe set fire to the house where his wife was staying. That fire killed the family's dog.

Police believe Kenneth Lee Rascon set fire to the Arvada home where his wife and children were staying.

The woman and children had just left the home when the fire started but the family pets were still inside. The family dog was killed in the fire and two other pets were injured.

Rascon, 30, is separated from his wife. He has for felony warrants for violation of bail bond conditions or original charges that include first degree arson, burglary, felony animal cruelty, criminal trespass and numerous violations of protective orders.

Rascon is described as a white man, 6-feet-tall with hazel eyes, weighing about 175 pounds. Police said he should be considered dangerous.

Police ask the public if they see Rascon or know of his whereabouts, to call 720-898-6900 or their local law enforcement agency. They are advised to not approach Rascon.
