Wheat Ridge Police Stay Tight Lipped About Murder Case

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Police believe they have tracked down the person responsible for killing a 26-year-old man in Wheat Ridge late Saturday night.

The victim's body was found stabbed in his front yard in the 4600 block of Miller Street.

Wheat Ridge police told CBS4 they have been in contact with a suspect but they aren't releasing a name or picture of that person.

The victim lived at the home with his roommates. The roommates reportedly came outside at about 11 p.m. to check on why dogs were barking. It was then that they found the man dead on the ground by a fence with multiple stab wounds.

"It's a drag because he was a cool guy," a neighbor told CBS4. "He had a kid, he liked doing stuff outside, he had a dragster. Just an overall good person."
