Colorado Information Technology Business Thrives In Tough Economy

CBS4 and the Denver Business Journal are teaming up to profile companies that are Making Their Mark in their Colorado communities.

DENVER (CBS4) - A Colorado information technology business is thriving and giving back to the community with top talent and technology in this struggling economy.

BWBacon Group is an interactive and creative staffing agency. David Bacon is the founder and self-proclaimed bacon-nater.

From the swine shrine to the strip of bacon bearing the company logo Bacon knows his bacon.

"I'm lucky to have the best recruiters and the best team I could possibly ask for," Bacon said.

How the company gives back is very unique.

"With BWGiving, what we do is we ask our contractors to identify a 501-C organization of their choice that we donate to out of our profit margin in their name," Bacon said.

And that's not all.

"BWGiving was part of the dream of when I started this agency. I had the good fortune of having success in this industry and it allowed me to help start a number of other organizations. One is called the Playing for Change Foundation and another one is called the O'Brien School for the Maasai."

And how is BWBacon making its mark?.

"At the root, my vocation is to bring the best out of others," Bacon said. "When I bring the best out of others the best is brought out of me. And so it's this wonderful sort of circle"
