Man Gets Community Corrections In Teen's Overdose
GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - A man who provided drugs to an 18-year-old high school graduate who overdosed and died in her sleep has been sentenced to 12 years in a community corrections program.
Derek Victor Perez, 21, was sentenced Friday in the death of Greeley West High School graduate Dallas Lee Bradford last year. Bradford's roommate told police Bradford had used cocaine and an unidentified crushed pill, both of which were provided by Perez.
Perez pleaded guilty in September to distributing a controlled substance.
