Driver Shoots At Westminster Officer During Traffic Stop
WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - Westminster police are looking for the person who shot at an officer after a traffic stop.
It happened at about 2:45 a.m. in the area of 72nd and Sheridan Boulevard.
As the officer was walking up the car in a traffic stop, police say the person inside the car shot at the officer. The officer was not hurt.
Police say the car was a 2000 Cadillac with a reddish-dull color or primer. They also said it had temporary tags on it.
The driver was described as being a Native American male, clean shaven with a thin face and dark hair pulled into a ponytail.
Westminster police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call them.
