Hearing Set For AFA Cadet In Sex Misconduct Case

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — A military court hearing is scheduled for an Air Force Academy cadet charged with sexual misconduct.

The hearing on Wednesday is for Anthony D. Daniels Jr., a junior charged with sodomy, attempted sodomy and aggravated sexual conduct.

The hearing is to determine whether he should go on trial before a court-martial.

His attorney didn't immediately respond to a request for comment made through the academy's public affairs office.

Daniels is one of at least five cadets charged with sexual misconduct this year. One was convicted and sentenced to prison and another had charges dropped. The other three cases are still in the military court system.
