Woman Charged In Illegal Home Occupation Case
DENVER (CBS4) - Another person is now charged in a case involving families prevented from getting into their own homes.
Maria Carrillo is now charged with several crimes, including forgery and attempting to influence a public servant. Her husband, Alfonso Carrillo, and another man were already charged.
Prosecutors say Alfonso Carrillo would sell occupied homes to people using phony documents, or would take over empty homes and collect money from unsuspecting buyers who would have to vacate when the owners returned.
