U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree To Be Harvested Friday In Colorado
MEEKER, Colo. (AP) — The Forest Service says this year's U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will be harvested from the White River National Forest on Friday.
In August, the superintendent of the capitol grounds selected the 73-foot-tall Engelmann Spruce in the Blanco Ranger District of the national forest.
The tree will be displayed in downtown Meeker before beginning its journey to Washington D.C.
