Coloradans Go Ape In LoDo

DENVER (CBS4) - Some major monkey business took place in the Mile High City on Saturday as primates pounded the pavement in downtown Denver.

Humans dressed as gorillas and ran through LoDo for the 9th annual Denver Gorilla Run. It's their way of raising money for the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund.

"I'm doing this to be with a group of friends and be silly and have fun and do some good along the way," runner Jennifer Erixon said.

The 5K race featured live music, food and awards, and runners get to keep their gorilla suits.
