Child Says Man Asked Her To Get Into His Car In Brighton

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Brighton said an elementary student reported being approached by a man and was asked to get into his car Tuesday morning.

The student goes to South Elementary and reported that the man was driving a red car. She ran to school and reported the incident. Police were called immediately and continue to investigate.

No other description of the suspect was available.

"The safety of our students is our utmost priority and we will continue to work with our police departments to ensure the safety of all our students," the school said in a statement.
