Pot Shop Owner Pleads Guilty To Marijuana Charges

GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) — A Denver medical marijuana dispensary owner has pleaded guilty in the sale of almost $400,000 worth of marijuana at a hotel in Jefferson County.

Dmitriy Genzer owns Cannabis and Co. in Denver. Genzer was arrested after allegedly trying to sell 200 pounds of marijuana to an undercover officer in December, with part of the transaction occurring outside of his shop, at the hotel. His associates, 29-year-old Joseph Alejo and 25-year-old Aaron Garcia, are accused of participating in the transaction while both were on probation for prior marijuana distribution convictions.

The Jefferson County district attorney's office said Tuesday that all three have pleaded guilty to marijuana distribution charges.

Sentencing has been set for Jan. 7.
