Arapahoe Basin To Open For Ski Season Wednesday

KEYSTONE, Colo. (AP/CBS4) - Arapahoe Basin Ski Area plans to open for the season Wednesday.

So far, it's the earliest opening date that any Colorado resort has announced for this season.

A-Basin says it will have one lift open to mid-mountain, where visitors can ride or ski one intermediate trail.

Arapahoe Basin is traditionally among the first resorts in the country to open for the season, and this year it's getting a bit of a boost from some natural snowfalls.

Loveland Ski Area will be a close second in the race to open first. The resort made snow over the weekend and hopes to have at least one lift running in a week or so.
