Will.i.am Campaigning For Obama In Denver

DENVER (AP/CBS4) — Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am is headed to college campuses in Colorado to help get out the vote for President Barack Obama.

He's headlining a voter registration rally at a park near the University of Denver Wednesday afternoon a few hours before Obama and Mitt Romney take the stage for their debate.

Will.i.am is also set to deejay before Obama's appearance at a rally Thursday morning at Sloan's Lake Park in Denver. Then he'll head to a sub shop across from the University of Colorado at lunchtime and also stop by Colorado State University in Fort Collins to encourage students trying to sign up other students to register.

"Here we are in Colorado, a red state, and a red state voting for a Democrat. This is America; blue state, red state; Americans, and right now America needs you guys, it needs you guys to go out and tell your family members and your friends, people who aren't your friends, and talk passionately about what we need right now, and that is to register to vote before Tuesday so we can continue to fight for the things America needs," Will.i.am said.
