Jefferson County Teachers Gather To Voice Opposition To Mitt Romney
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Some teachers gathered in Jefferson County Sunday morning to voice their opposition to Mitt Romney.
The head of the Colorado Education Association, Kerrie Dallman, says Romney's policies could cut vital funding to education.
"He wants to slash education funding by nearly 20 percent while giving $5 trillion in budget busting tax cuts and tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires. And he thinks that won't affect our kids or our schools," Dallman said.
Romney is scheduled to speak at D'Evelyn High School in Jefferson County Sunday evening.
