Man Charged In Ex-Girlfriend's Murder, Police Search For Suspect

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police have confirmed that the body found in Aurora near the home of missing woman Bertha Garcia is that of the 23-year-old.

Her ex-boyfriend has been charged with murder in connection with her death.

Garcia vanished from the 1900 block of Paris Street early Sunday morning. Police found her body near her home on Monday.

Police thought she may have been kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend, German Medina.

Medina, 32, has been charged with first degree murder and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Police in Aurora said Medina is an undocumented immigrant with no previous record. Detectives don't know where he is but said he has family in California and Mexico.
