Police Say Skateboarders Harassing Drivers For Rides

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) - There's no tow rope, so skateboarders have been hitting up drivers for a lift. Douglas County sheriff's deputies say that's not only dangerous, but against the law.

The deputies say over the past few weeks they've seen an increase in teenagers and pre-teens skateboarding down the hill on South Pinery Parkway. Once they get to the bottom they are harassing drivers to bring them back to the top.

The sheriff's department says it usually happens between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and mostly on the weekends.

Anyone who sees it happening is asked to call the sheriff's office right away because they want to put a stop to it.
