Full Closures Of I-25 Overnight At Santa Fe For Bridge Work

Bridge work on Santa Fe over I-25 will force full closures of the Interstate overnight August 29th and 30th. Here are the details as outlined by the Colorado Department of Transportation:

• Northbound I-25 near Santa Fe Drive: All lanes of northbound I-25 will be closed near Santa Fe Drive tonight from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Wednesday. Lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. each night. Detour: Motorists on northbound I-25 will take the Santa Fe Drive/Alameda Avenue exit and continue past Alameda Avenue to Cedar Avenue where access to northbound I-25 is available.
• Southbound I-25 near Santa Fe Drive: All lanes of southbound I-25 will be closed near Santa Fe Drive August 29 and August 30 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day. Lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. each night. Detour: Motorists on southbound I-25 will exit onto southbound Santa Fe Drive and travel to Mississippi Avenue Travel east on Mississippi Avenue to Broadway where access to southbound I-25 is available.
• Northbound Santa Fe Drive to Northbound I-25: The ramp from northbound Santa Fe Drive to northbound I-25 will be completely closed from 11 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. on Wednesday. Detour: Motorists on northbound Santa Fe Drive will continue north to Cedar Avenue where access to northbound I-25 is available.

When this work is done not only will there be new ramps to access Santa Fe, but there will also be four lanes either direction from C-470 to US 36.
