Opposition Growing Against Proposed Casino In Hayden

HAYDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Opposition is growing to a proposed Indian casino in northwest Colorado.

Several business owners want to develop a piece of land near the Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden. Their plans include a casino and hotel, but a group calling itself No Casino says it would hurt the region's image as a family vacation destination.

Opponents also say any new jobs would be low-paying and taxpayers would be stuck with the bill for road improvements.
