Bridge Will No Longer Close I-225 Overnight August 18-19

NOTE: CDOT announced late Friday this project would not be happening.

Written by Traffic Specialist Joel Hillan

The Colorado Department of Transportation will close I-225 between Iliff and Parker Road Saturday, August 18th at 9 p.m. until Sunday morning at 6 a.m.

Crews will be pouring the bridge deck for the new Yale St Bridge over I-225.

This is part of a larger CDOT project to widen I-225 from Mississippi to Parker Rd. The projects adds a lane in either direction through that section, adds an auxiliary lane and makes way for a Light Rail extension.

CDOT hopes to have the Yale Street Bridge done by December, the whole $42 million project is scheduled for completion in July of 2014.
