Greeley Police Search For Changing Room Peeping Tom
GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Greeley are searching for a man who installed a hidden camera in the family changing room at the Family Fun Plex.
A woman discovered the hidden camera at the recreation center on Sunday. Police removed the camera and have examined the video for possible evidence.
"It was concealed inside of an air freshener container. The patron, a female patron located it and could see that it just didn't look like it was quite right," said Greeley Police spokeswoman Susan West.
The camera is believed to have been placed in the changing room in the early afternoon hours the same day it was discovered.
Police are asking for help in identifying the man captured by the camera.
"The picture kind of speaks for itself. Obviously we don't know exactly what he's doing. Whether he's putting it in place, whether he's just reached up to fiddle with something on the wall or what the case may be," said West.
He was seen hanging around the changing rooms on Sunday, wearing white swim trunks with blue flowers. He also entered the changing room for a brief time.
"It's not a good feeling and actually it made me want to throw up," said parent Deanna Duron.
Duron takes her children to Family Plex to swim.
"My two children are going to be doing sports and they will not be going in the changing rooms," said Duron.
Police are asking that anyone who recognizes this individual, or believes they may have been in the family changing room number 2 at the Family Fun Plex on Sunday afternoon to please contact the Investigations Section of the Greeley Police Department at 970-350-9670 during regular business hours, or Greeley Police Dispatch at 970-350-9600 after business hours.
"We're reviewing video that may have been obtained on this camera. We are attempting to identify people who have been captured on this," said West.
