Preschool Teacher Accused Of Possessing Child Porn

DENVER (CBS4) - A Denver preschool teacher has been arrested, accused of possessing child pornography after an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security.

Court documents indicate David Moe, 45, has worked at Paddington Station Preschool for the past 18 years. The court documents vividly describe the child porn videos and photos investigators found in Moe's home.

The signs on the door on Friday stated that summer camp is closed for the day at Paddington Station in Denver.

"He seemed like a normal person, except he seemed alone," neighbor Phyllis Buck said.

Buck watched as Homeland Security investigators executed a search warrant.

"He was pointing his gun, revolver, whatever, at the window," Buck said. "I heard them yell, 'Police, open up!' "

Police found DVDs, CDs, and even a computer all containing child pornography inside of Moe's home. Neighbors said they would have never known what was inside because he always kept the windows and the blinds covered.

"I almost can't believe it you know? He was so nice to Phyllis and I and always smiled," Fred Buck said. "We thought he was harmless."

According to this arrest affidavit, Moe told police he "prefers to look at sexually explicit images depicting females ages four and older." He also stated that during the course of his career he has seen children nude changing into swimsuits or going to the bathroom.

Moe also admitted to having nearly 200 child porn images in his possession. Police also found a closet containing sheets fitted for a toddler bed or crib that were stained and rumpled. He told police he kept the sheets for the school.

Moe lives alone and has no children.

The Paddington Station website still lists Moe as one of the teachers there but CBS4 has learned he's been placed on leave till the investigation is complete. He's being held without bond and is due in court on Monday.
