Cinderella's Glass Slipper Is A Perfect Fit For Boulder's Dinner Theater

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- It's a Rodgers and Hammerstein favorite that premiered on TV in 1957 rather than the Broadway stage. But Cinderella has found new life in a new production at Boulder's Dinner Theatre.

CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody believes he's seen just about every production of the classic fairy tale but says in this version, the shoe definitely fits.

It's the perfect summertime treat, a favorite musical in air conditioned comfort.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella is a fast-moving, family-friendly romp with great music, colorful characters and the story we all know and love: girl meets prince, girl loses shoe, prince finds girl's foot.

Jenna Bainbridge and Matthew Dailey are very good as Cindy and the Prince with very sweet and wonderful voices.

But you're going to love the background characters: Wayne Kennedy and Tracy Warren as the King and Queen, Shelly Cox Robie as the Stepmother and Matthew Peters and Bob Hoppe as the Wicked Stepsisters. They're hilarious.

The cast will make the entire audience believe, kids, parents, grandparents, that impossible things happen everyday.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella plays at Boulder's Dinner Theatre through September 1, 2012
